Lisbon, Oct. 30, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market ended Wednesday's trading session down for the third day running, with the PSI index falling 0.73% to 6,391.60 points, in line with the main European markets.
Of the 15 shares that currently make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 10 were down, four were up and one was unchanged (Ibersol, at €7.36).
CTT led the declines with a fall of 2.49% to €4.12, after it was announced on Tuesday, when the market was already closed, that its net profit fell 21.9% between January and September to €27.8 million, or €7.8 million less than in the same period in 2023.
Corticeira Amorim fell 2.11% to €8.35 and Navigator fell 1.61% to €3.55.
In the same vein, Jerónimo Martins lost 1.31% to €16.51 before presenting its results.
In the energy sector, REN fell 1.29% to €2.30, EDP fell 1.10% to €3.61 and EDP Renováveis 0.71% to €12.53.
BCP fell 0.52% to €0.42 and announced at the end of the afternoon that it made a profit of €714.1 million between January and September, 9.7% more than in the first nine months of 2023.
In positive territory, Semapa advanced 0.41% to €14.84 and Mota-Engil added 0.32% to €2.49.
Galp and NOS both rose by 0.28% to stand at €16 and €3.64, respectively.
NOS also presented results after the market closed, having recorded a profit of €201.3 million in the first nine months, a rise of 59.2% year-on-year, a figure that includes non-recurring effects.
On the main European stock markets, Milan was down 1.21%, Frankfurt 1.13%, Paris 1.10%, London 0.73% and Madrid 0.68%.
