Milan is in mourning for Sandro Mazzola, with flags at half mast on the city's public buildings on Monday, when the funeral of the former Italy and Inter great takes place at the city's Sant'Ambrogio Basilica.
    The forward, a key part of the Great Inter side of the 1960s, died at the age of 83 on the night between Friday and Saturday.
    He helped Inter win four Serie A titles and the European Cup in 1964, when he scored a double in the 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in the final, and in 1965.
    He also scored 22 goals in 70 appearances for the Azzurri and was part of the team that won the 1968 European Championship and reached the final of the 1970 World Cup.
    He was the son of Valentino Mazzola, a member of the great Torino who died in the 1949 Superga air disaster.
    Inter's great rivals Juventus issued a statement late on Sunday condemning the conduct of some of their own fans for failing to respect a minute's silence for Mazzola before the start of their 2-0 win over Atalanta in Turin.
    Some fans turned their backs during the minute's silence while others sang chants.
    Many Juve fans started applauding to honour Mazzola and cover the chants.
