Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark index up 0.7%, bucking Europe trend

Lisbon, June 19, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Friday, rising by 0.69% to 9,102.60 points, bucking the European trend, with Teixeira Duarte up 4.63%.

The benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index) index includes 16 listed companies, and 14 of them rose and two of them fell.

Teixeira Duarte was the top performer, closing at €0.50, followed by REN, which rose 2.27% to €3.61, and Mota-Engil, which rose 1.13% to €4.65.

Up by more than 1% were Galp (up 1.12% to €18.52) and EDP Renewables (up 1.11% to €13.67).

Also rising were BCP (up 0.88% to €1.03), NOS (up 0.58% to €5.23), EDP (up 0.27% to €4.41), Semapa (up 0.23% to €22.15), Sonae (up 0.20% to €1.97), Altri (up 0.20% to €4.98), CTT (up 0.17% to €6.02), Jerónimo Martins (up 0.12% to €17.41) and Navigator (up 0.06% to €3.48).

The only shares to close lower were Ibersol, which fell by 2.52% to €10.04, and Corticeira Amorim, down 0.91% to €6.52.

The main European stock markets closed in the red today, with London down 0.35%, Paris 0.55%, Frankfurt 0.16% and Madrid 0.29%. Only Milan rose today, by 0.31%.
