Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark off 0.5% against most of Europe

Lisbon, June 15, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed in the red on Monday, with the PSI index falling 0.52% to 9,046.15 points, bucking the trend of a largely positive European market.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), six rose, nine fell and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €6.57.

Leading the fallers was Galp, which dropped 3.58% to €18.43, in the first session after US President Donald Trump announced a peace deal with Iran.

Among the biggest fallers were also Semapa, which fell 3.34% to €23.15, NOS, which dropped 1.48% to €5.32, and EDP Renováveis, which fell 1.10% to €13.48.

EDP (€4.43), Jerónimo Martins (€17.66), Navigator (€3.53), Sonae SGPS (€1.97) and REN (€3.54) all fell by less than 1%.

Conversely, leading the gains was BCP, which rose 2.25% to €0.97.

Also of note were Ibersol, which rose 1.73% to €10.60, Mota-Engil, up 1.42% to €4.85, Altri, which rose 1.39% to €5.10, and Teixeira Duarte, which rose 1.08% to €0.47.

Only CTT (€6.03) posted a gain of less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid rose by 1.43%, Frankfurt by 1.05% and Paris by 0.40%, whilst London fell by 0.39%.
