Lisbon, June 15, 2026 (Lusa) - Purever expects to end the first half of this year with a 35% year-on-year increase in sales to €250 million, driven by contracts with pharmaceutical companies and data centres, the Portuguese multinational announced on Monday.
In a statement, Purever highlights that the growth in sales in the first six months of the year is being driven primarily by projects currently underway at the Novo Nordisk pharmaceutical plant in France and the Eli Lilly plant in Ireland, as well as the installation of data centres in Austria, Ireland and Finland.
In the Iberian Peninsula, Purever has been awarded industrial projects for the Portuguese firm Hovione in Seixal and Ferrer in Barcelona, whilst industrial facilities for Colorplast in Felgueiras and Bluepharma in Coimbra are also currently under construction.
In the first quarter of the year, Purever recorded total sales of €120 million, a 27% increase compared to the same period in 2025, having ended the 2025 financial year with a turnover of €450 million.
Purever was recently selected by the Indian group Agratas (a division of Tata) to supply the new battery factory in Somerset, England, which will equip Jaguar and Land Rover electric vehicles, in a contract worth around €30 million in the initial phase.
This contract, won by the subsidiary ARDMAC UK, follows another the company carried out for Envision, also a battery manufacturer, in Newcastle, which supplies Nissan vehicles.
The Portuguese multinational is also a candidate to be one of the suppliers for the Chinese company CALB’s automotive battery factory planned for Sines, on the Alentejo coast.
With over 1,500 employees across its eight factories in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, the UK and the US, as well as in 25 offices spread across 18 countries, Purever designs, manufactures and builds technical facilities requiring thermal insulation or controlled environments for dust, humidity or fire protection.
Its clients include sectors such as data centres, electronics and pharmaceutical factories, hospitals, battery manufacturers and the aerospace industry, as well as the entire food supply chain, from manufacturing and logistics to food retail and restaurants.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Purever operates under four brands: Ardmac, Dagard, Coldkit and Misa.
Dagard, with two factories in France and one in the US, is celebrating its 75th year of existence this year, whilst Purever’s factory in Nelas, Viseu, is marking its 35th year.
