Lisbon, May 25, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, with the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index) rising 0.62% to 9,223.83 points, in line with the rest of Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI, 11 rose, four fell and Altri remained unchanged at €5.24.
Leading the gains was Teixeira Duarte, which rose 4.71% to €0.44.
Also notable were Mota-Engil, which rose 3.05% to €4.80, BCP, which recorded a 2.78% increase to €0.99, Sonae SGPS, which rose 1.17% to €1.91, and CTT, which gained 1.03% to €6.41.
Gains of less than 1% were seen in Corticeira Amorim (€6.66), EDP Renováveis (€14.48), REN (€3.59), Navigator (€3.40), Ibersol (€11.80) and Jerónimo Martins (€18.72).
In the opposite direction, leading the fallers was NOS, which dropped 1.51% to €5.24.
Semapa (€23.40), Galp (€18.94) and EDP (€4.44) all fell by less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid rose by 2.24%, Frankfurt by 2.01% and Paris by 1.76%.
The London stock market is closed for the ‘Memorial Day’ holiday, dedicated to those who died in combat.
