ANSA - Soccer: Roma and Como qualify for Champions League as Milan, Juve miss out

Cremonese relegated to Serie A

Como qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history and AS Roma will be back in Europe's premier club competition for the first time in seven years next term while soccer giants AC Milan and Juventus will miss out after a dramatic last day of the Serie A season on Sunday.
Seven-time European champions Milan continued their wretched form on Sunday, losing 2-1 at San Siro to Cagliari to drop outside the top four, falling from third for fifth.

Roma finished third after making of their slot in the Champions League with a 2-0 win at already-relegated Hellas Verona.
Como, who have climbed up from the third tier of Italian soccer since being taken over by Indonesia tobacco giant Djarum in 2019 and have never been in European competition, took advantage of Milan's misadventure to move up to fourth with a 4-1 win at Cremonese, who have been relegated to Serie A along with Hellas and bottom side Pisa.
Como and Roma join champions Inter and second-placed Napoli in the Champions League next season.
Milan and Juve, who finished sixth after being held 2-2 by city rivals Torino, will play in the Europa League.
