Lisbon, Jan. 26, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market reversed Monday morning's losses and closed the day higher, with the PSI index rising 0.23% to 8,577.23 points and EDP sustaining gains, in a mostly positive Europe.
Of the 16 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), nine rose, six fell and Semapa remained unchanged at €21.85.
Leading the gains was EDP, which rose 1.57% to €4.28, followed by BCP, which grew 1.48% to €0.90.
With gains below 1% were Navigator (€3.24), Ibersol (€10.50), Sonae SGPS (€1.76), EDP Renováveis (€12.83), Corticeira Amorim (€6.82), Altri (€4.50) and Jerónimo Martins (€20.24).
In the other direction, civil engineering and construction group, Teixeira Duarte, increased recent losses and again led the decliners, losing 7.65% to €0.50.
Also noteworthy were rival civil engineering and construction group, Mota-Engil, which fell 1.70% to €4.40, and Galp, which fell 1.44% to €15.70.
CTT (€6.77), NOS (€4.35) and REN (€3.35) fell by less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in Madrid rose 0.78%, Frankfurt 0.13% and London 0.05%, while Paris fell 0.15%.
