Lisbon, Jan. 22, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Thursday, with the PSI index rising 1.70% to 8,604.45 points, in line with the rest of Europe and with 15 companies in the green.
Of the 16 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), 15 rose and Galp fell 2.21% to €15.70.
Leading the gains was NOS, which rose 3.60% to €4.32.
Among the main gainers were EDP Renováveis, which grew 3.10% to €12.98, Mota-Engil, which totalled 2.84% to €4.63, Altri, which rose 2.72% to €4.53, Navigator, which added 2.59% to €3.25, Teixeira Duarte, which rose 2.55% to €0.56, EDP, which rose 2.23% to €4.21, and CTT, which rose 2.20% to €6.96.
Also noteworthy were Semapa, up 2.09% to €21.95, BCP, which added 2.08% to €0.90, Ibersol, which expanded 1.96% to €10.4, Sonae SGPS, which rose 1.85% to €1.76, Corticeira Amorim, which gained 1.79% to €6.82, and Jerónimo Martins, which rose 1.08% to €20.62.
Only REN (€3.29) posted a gain of less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in Madrid rose 1.28%, Frankfurt 1.20%, Paris 0.99% and London 0.12%.
