ANSA - Italy's inflation rate fell to 1.1% in November says Istat

Italy's annual inflation rate dropped to 1.1% in November from 1.2% in October, Istat said on Tuesday..
The national statistics agency said its consumer price index (NIC) was down 0.2% in November in month-on-month terms.
It said the drop in the annual inflation rate was mainly due to significant year-on-year slowdowns in the prices of services related to transport (from +2.0% to +0.9%), unprocessed food (from +1.9% to +1.1%), processed food including alcohol (from +2.5% to +2.1%), services related to recreation (from +3.3% to +3.0%), regulated energy products (from -0.5% to -3.2%) and services related to communication (from -0.3% to -0.8%).
Istat said core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed food) and inflation excluding energy both stood at 1.7%, in both cases down from +1.9% in October.
The so-called shopping cart index of the prices of food, household, and personal care products slowed to 1.5% from from 2.1% in October.
