Lisbon, Oct. 6, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, bucking the trend of losses seen in other European markets, on a day when Mota-Engil led the gains, rising almost 4%.
The PSI ended up 0.78% at 8,178.21 points, after reaching its highest level since April 2010 in the previous session.
Of the 16 companies included in the national benchmark index, the PSI (Portuguese Share Index), eight closed in positive territory, two remained unchanged (CTT and Sonae SGPS) and the remaining six were in the red.

With gains of over 1% and boosting the national benchmark index were also companies listed in the energy sector.
EDP Renováveis rose 2.88% to €12.50, while its parent company EDP advanced 1.14% to €4.17.
At the same time, Galp Energia rose 1.81% to €17.20.
