Tunis, Oct. 9 (TAP) - Health Minister Mustapha Ferjani met with his Italian counterpart Orazio Schillaci on Thursday in the Italian city of Teramo, on the sidelines of the “One Health” summit, to discuss ways to renew and update the memorandum of understanding between the two ministries. The aim is to align with modern medical developments and open up new avenues for cooperation, according to a Health Ministry statement.
The meeting addressed several health-related issues, including combating antimicrobial resistance, the role of veterinary medicine within the One Health framework, digital health and artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as strengthening partnerships in neonatology and emergency medicine, and twinning between hospitals and scientific health institutions.
