Macau, China, Sept. 2, 2025 (Lusa) - The leader of Macau's government, Sam Hou Fai, has postponed his visit to Portugal and Spain, scheduled to take place between 16 and 23 September, without advancing another date, Lusa confirmed to an official source.
"The visit has been postponed and there is still no date as to when it will take place," an official source from the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Media Office (GCS) confirmed to Lusa.
The visit to Portugal would have been his first trip abroad since Sam Hou Fai took office as head of the SAR's government in December 2024.
The trip, if it were to go ahead, would begin two days after the elections to the Macao SAR Parliament, scheduled for the 14th.
