Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Lisbon stock market ends day's trading above the water line - update

Lisbon, June 5, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed with a slight gain on Thursday, following the main European markets, with the PSI rising 0.02% to 7,421.67 points, on a day when Semapa led the gains, advancing 1.97%.

Of the 15 companies listed on the PSI, nine closed higher and six in negative territory.

Among the companies that recorded gains, Semapa stood out, with its shares rising 1.97% to €17.58.

Also rising were BCP shares, which closed up 1.78% at €0.67, Corticeira Amorim, which gained 1.16% to €7.86, Altri, which advanced 1.15% to €5.27, and Galp, which rose 1.14% to €14.66.

With gains of less than 1% were Jerónimo Martins (0.84% to €21.58), Sonae (0.65% to €1.23), REN (0.51% to €2.98) and Navigator (0.18% to €3.41).

Among the listed companies that closed in the red, losses were led by EDP Renováveis, which fell 2.76% to €9.00.

Also down were CTT shares, which fell 1.56% to €7.57, Mota-Engil, which fell 1.37% to 4.46 euros, EDP, which lost 1.15% to 3.54 euros, and Ibersol and NOS, which fell 0.40% to 9.90 euros and 0.38% to 3.89 euros, respectively.

Lisbon followed the sentiment experienced on the main European stock exchanges, with Spain's IBEX-35 gaining 0.73%, Germany's DAX 0.19% and the UK's FTSE 100 advancing 0.11%. In contrast, France's CAC-40 fell 0.18%.
