Lisbon, June 4, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed down 0.49% on Wednesday at 7,419.91 points, weighed down by BCP, Jerónimo Martins and Sonae, which fell more than 2%.
Of the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), eight fell, six rose and REN remained unchanged at €2.96.
BCP led the declines, falling 2.50% to €0.66, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which fell 2.28% to €21.40.
Also down were Sonae (-2.24% to €1.22), Galp (-1.26% to €14.50), Navigator (-0.81% to €3.41) and Altri (-0.76% to €5.21), Semapa (-0.46% to €17.24) and Mota-Engil (-0.09% to €4.52).
Leading the gains were CTT, up 2.26% to €7.69, followed by EDP Renováveis, which gained 1.87% to €9.26.
Also closing in positive territory were Corticeira Amorim, which rose 1.04% to €7.77, NOS (+0.91% to €3.90), EDP (+0.79% to €3.58) and Ibersol (+0.20% to €9.94).
In the rest of Europe, only Madrid fell, by 0.19%. The other markets closed in positive territory, with London up 0.16%, Paris 0.53%, Frankfurt 0.77% and Milan 0.02%.
