Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark gaining 0.5% led by Galp

Lisbon, June 2, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, with the PSI index gaining 0.50% to 7,425.73 points, while in Europe there was no clear trend.

Among the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), seven rose and eight fell.

Galp led the gains, rising 4.66% to €14.70.

Among the main gains were Sonae SGPS, which added 1.15% to €1.23, and CTT, which rose 1.08% to €7.48.

With rises of less than 1% were EDP Renováveis (€8.93), Mota-Engil (€4.53), REN (€2.97) and EDP (€3.53).

Going in the opposite direction, Semapa led the declines, falling 2.38% to €17.20, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which fell 1.26% to €21.88.

With declines of less than 1% were Altri (€5.26), Navigator (€3.41), Ibersol (€9.90), BCP (€0.68), Corticeira Amorim (€7.70) and NOS (€3.85).

In the rest of Europe, Madrid rose 0.36% and London 0.02%, while Frankfurt fell 0.28% and Paris 0.19%.
