Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market in bull territory climbing over 2% to 7,191.82 points

Lisbon, May 15, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Thursday, following the positive sentiment experienced on the main European stock markets, with CTT and Semapa rising more than 2%.

The national benchmark index rose 0.21% to 7,191.82 points, with nine of the 15 listed companies in the green and the remaining six in negative territory.

With this performance, the PSI once again reached its June 2014 highs.

CTT led the gains in today's session, climbing 2.29% to €6.69, followed by Semapa, which added 2.25% to €18.20, and REN, which gained 1.83% to €2.78.

Sonae also posted gains of over 1%, rising 1.27% to €1.11, as did EDP, which rose 1% to €2.42.

The subsidiary EDP Renováveis fell 0.33% to €9.11.

Among the falls, Altri stood out, falling 4.81% to €6.14, as well as Mota-Engil, which fell 1.14% to €4.15.

Across Europe, it was a day of gains: the Frankfurt stock exchange rose 0.65%, Madrid and London added 0.50% and Paris advanced 0.21%.
