Lisbon, Nov. 27, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed on Wednesday with a slight rise of 0.04% in the PSI index, which advanced to 6,418.01 points, with Sonae leading the gains.
Of the 15 shares that currently make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Market Index), seven rose, six fell and two remained unchanged.
Sonae rose 1.40% to €0.94 and Galp was at the top of the declines, falling 0.82% to €15.65.
Galp announced on Tuesday, in a statement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), that it had decided to abandon the project for a lithium refinery in Setúbal, after Northvolt withdrew from the consortium and Galp failed to find another partner.
EDP Renováveis advanced 1.18% to €11.12, Corticeira Amorim gained 0.59% to €8.51 and NOS added 0.43% to €3.49.
With increases of less than 0.40% were Jerónimo Martins ( €18.33), CTT (€4.46) and Altri (€5.01).
On the downside, Navigator fell 0.69% to €3.47 and Semapa lost 0.43% to €13.84.
With losses of less than 0.40% were EDP (€3.43), BCP (€0.44) and Mota-Engil (€2.55).
REN (€2.45) and Ibersol (€7.44) were unchanged.
In Europe, London rose 0.20%, but Paris fell 0.72%, Madrid 0.33%, Milan 0.23% and Frankfurt 0.18%.
