Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stocks close lower with benchmark PSI falling 0.28%

Lisbon Oct. 10, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Thursday, with the PSI index falling 0.28% to 6,686.60 points, in line with the main European markets.

Of the 16 shares that make up the stock exchange's benchmark index, nine fell, six rose and one remained unchanged (Greenvolt, €8.31).

Galp led the risers (1.05% to €16.90) and EDP Renováveis led the fallers (-2.12% to €14.33).

Among the main risers, Semapa rose 0.81% to €15 and BCP gained 0.50% to €0.42.

Sonae (€0.95), Ibersol (€7.24) and Corticeira Amorim (€8.78) appreciated less than 0.%.

In the opposite direction, Jerónimo Martins dropped 1.03% to €17.26 and EDP fell 0.95% to €3.86.

Altri dropped 0.58% to €5.16, REN fell 0.42% to €2.38 and Mota-Engil fell 0.31% to €2.53.

Navigator (€3.75), NOS (€3.57) and CTT (€4.22) recorded slight negative variations (less than 0.25%).

In the rest of Europe, declines ranged from 0.07% in London to 0.72% in Madrid, but Milan escaped the losses with an appreciation of 0.43%.
