Lisbon, Sept. 25, 2026 (Lusa) - More than 20 Portuguese companies and business organisations will be in Saudi Arabia between Sunday and Thursday on a trade mission, at the invitation of the Saudi Arabia–Portugal Business Council (SPBC).

According to a statement from the SPBC sent to Lusa, the aim is to «bring the business communities of the two countries closer together and create opportunities for cooperation and investment».

During the mission, representatives from the private and public sectors will hold several meetings, and the parties will sign bilateral cooperation agreements «with a view to the internationalisation of Portuguese companies».

The business council also highlighted the «Saudi-Portuguese Business» forum, which will take place on 1 October in the Eastern Province and is expected to bring together around 100 representatives from the public and private sectors of both countries.

The Portuguese delegation includes, amongst others, Sana Hotels, Delta Cafés and the ISQ Group.

According to the same press release, the visit will also be attended by the Secretary of State for Communities, Emídio Sousa; the Mayor of Vila Nova de Gaia, Luís Filipe Menezes; and the Executive Director of Unicorn Factory Lisboa, Gil Azevedo.
