Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Vista Alegre taken off stock market listing as of Thursday

Lisbon, Sept. 17, 2026 (Lusa) - The Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) has approved the delisting of VAA – Vista Alegre Atlantis, effective today, following the group's shareholders' decision at a general meeting on 29 May.

In a statement issued today after the market closed, the CMVM announced that the Board of Directors had today resolved «to approve, with effect from today, the voluntary delisting of the shares» of Vista Alegre Atlantis' holding company «from the regulated market Euronext Lisbon».

The capital markets regulator notes that the company submitted the delisting request «following the resolution of VAA's general meeting of shareholders».

To comply with a provision of the Securities Code setting out the procedure for a voluntary delisting, Visabeira Indústria, the main shareholder, «undertook to acquire the shares held, as at the date of the general meeting, by those VAA shareholders who voted against the delisting», the regulator states.

The Visabeira Group, which controls over 80% of VAA's share capital, submitted the proposal to delist on 7 May.

The group proposed acquiring the shares at €1.07 per share from shareholders who voted in favour of remaining listed on the regulated market.

According to the CMVM, the total consideration will be available for a period of three months from today's announcement.
