Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark 0.7% higher in line with Europe

Lisbon, Sept. 11, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Friday, rising by 0.73% to 9,524.73 points, in line with the European trend, with Ibersol leading the gains, up 4.41%.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 12 rose, three fell and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €7.01.

Ibersol was the biggest gainer, closing at €10.42, followed by NOS, which rose 2.74% to €5.26, and BCP, up 2.32% to €1.19.

Rounding off the group of companies that rose the most was Mota-Engil, up by 1.47% to €4.97.

Also in positive territory were Sonae (up 0.86% to €2.01), Jerónimo Martins (up 0.73% to €17.92), Teixeira Duarte (up 0.41% to €0.49) and CTT (up 0.40% to €6.31).

Also in the black, but with more modest gains, were EDP (up 0.23% to €4.80), Altri (up 0.21% to €4.71), REN (up 0.14% to €3.49) and Galp (up 0.14% to €21.50).

The biggest faller was EDP Renewables, which fell by 0.76% to €13.02, followed by Semapa, down 0.24% to €20.60, and Navigator, which lost 0.18% to €3.24.

The main European stock markets closed higher, with London up 0.39%, Paris 0.78%, Frankfurt 0.82%, Madrid 0.91% and Milan 1.36%.
