Lisbon, Aug. 7, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market ended the week down, falling by 0.46% to 9,181.38 points, bucking the trend in the major European markets.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI index, 11 fell and five rose.
Leading the fall was Sonae, which fell by 1.22% to €2.03, followed by EDP, which lost 1.06% to €4.48, and NOS, which fell by 1.02% to €4.85.
Closing with falls of less than 1% were Teixeira Duarte (down 0.82% to €0.49), Semapa (down 0.74% to €20.05), REN (down 0.70% to €3.53), EDP Renewables (down 0.52% to €13.35) and Ibersol (down 0.51% to €9.73).
The smallest falls were seen in Galp (down 0.48% to €19.82), BCP (down 0.45% to €1.10) and Mota-Engil (down 0.26% to €4.53).
Leading the gains was Corticeira Amorim, which rose by 1.20% to €6.74, followed by Jerónimo Martins, with an increase of 0.87% to €17.49.
Also closing higher were Altri (up 0.21% to €4.76), Navigator (up 0.12% to €3.27) and CTT (up 0.08% to €6.29).
The main European markets mostly closed higher today, with the exception of Madrid, which fell by 0.02%. London rose by 0.31%, Paris by 0.17%, Frankfurt by 0.69% and Milan by 0.06%.
