Lisbon, Aug. 5, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the PSI index rising by 0.08% to 9,176.10 points, in line with a largely positive European market.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), eight rose, seven fell and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €6.69.
Leading the gains were CTT, which rose by 1.46% to €6.27, and Sonae SGPS, which also gained 1.46% to €2.09.
Among the main gainers was also REN, which rose by 1.01% to €3.49.
Rises of less than 1% were seen in Ibersol (€9.78), Galp (€19.88), BCP (€1.09), EDP (€4.47) and Semapa (€20.20).
On the other hand, leading the fallers was EDP Renewables, which fell by 1.78% to €13.22.
Among the main losers were also Mota-Engil, which fell by 1.08% to €4.56, and Altri, which fell by 1.04% to €4.74.
Teixeira Duarte (€0.49), Navigator (€3.25), Jerónimo Martins (€17.35) and NOS (€4.82) all recorded falls of less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid rose by 0.17%, London by 0.08% and Paris by 0.03%, whilst Frankfurt fell by 0.29%.
