Lisbon, Aug. 4, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed slightly lower on Tuesday, down 0.03% to 9,169.02 points, bucking the European trend, with Jerónimo Martins leading the losses, falling 1.02%.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI index, eight fell, and eight rose.
Jerónimo Martins thus closed the session lower at €17.44, followed by Mota-Engil, which fell by 0.90% to €4.61, and Teixeira Duarte, down 0.80% to €0.50.
Also in negative territory were NOS (down 0.66% to €4.83), REN (down 0.58% to €3.45), EDP Renováveis (down 0.44% to €13.46), EDP (down 0.34% to €4.45) and Corticeira Amorim (down 0.15% to €6.69).
Leading the gains was Semapa, which rose 1.56% to €20.15, followed by CTT, up 1.31% to €6.18, and BCP, up 0.74% to €1.09.
Also closing in positive territory were Ibersol (up 0.73% to €9.69), Navigator (up 0.55% to €3.27), Sonae (up 0.24% to €2.06), Altri (up 0.21% to €4.79) and Galp (up 0.20% to €19.79).
The main European stock markets closed higher, with London up 0.20%, Paris 0.61%, Frankfurt 0.77%, Madrid 0.21% and Milan 1.26%.
