Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with all stocks red except Galp, up over 4%

Lisbon, July 8, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Wednesday, with the PSI index falling by 1.77% to 9,085.24 points, in line with the rest of Europe, and with only Galp in positive territory.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 15 fell and Galp rose by 4.20% to €19.75.

Teixeira Duarte led the fallers, dropping by 5.28% to €0.50.

Also notable were BCP, which fell by 4.48% to €1.02; Jerónimo Martins, which lost 4.37% to €16.18; CTT, which fell by 3.68% to €5.76; Mota-Engil, which fell by 3.65% to €4.54; EDP Renewables, which fell by 2.55% to €13.76, Ibersol, down 1.97% to €9.44, and Semapa, down 1.92% to €20.40.

Among the biggest fallers were also Corticeira Amorim, which fell by 1.71% to €6.32, Sonae SGPS, which fell by 1.66% to €2.07, EDP, which fell by 1.36% to €4.48, NOS, which fell by 1.13% to €4.88, and Altri, which fell by 1.04% to €4.76.

Navigator (€3.28) and REN (€3.76) recorded falls of less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid fell by 2.73%, Frankfurt by 2.23%, Paris by 2.18% and London by 1.66%.
