Italy's public debt dropped to €3.1553 trillion in April, €2.9 billion lower than in March, the Bank of Italy said on Monday.
    The central bank said a drop of €21.6 billion in the Treasury's liquid assets to €42.4 billion more than offset other factors, including a public sector borrowing requirement of €16.6 billion.
