NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, contacted the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, this morning to discuss the situation in Lebanon, Kuwait, and the region in light of recent developments.

During the call, President Aoun expressed "the solidarity of the Lebanese people with their Kuwaiti brethrens during these critical times the region is experiencing."

Aoun thanked Kuwait, its Emir, government, and people, for the support they have provided and continue to provide to Lebanon and its people, wishing them continued stability and security.

In turn, the Kuwait Emir thanked President Aoun for his sentiments, affirming "Kuwait's unwavering support for Lebanon and its people, especially during this delicate period, and its support for the steps Lebanon is taking to achieve security and stability and restore its sovereignty over all its territory."
