Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes up 2.11% as EDP, Sonae drive gains

Lisbon, March 30, 2026 (Lusa) – Lisbon’s stock market closed Monday up 2.11% to 9,069.55 points. This growth outpaced main European bourses, driven by gains of over 3% from the EDP group and Sonae.

Of the 16 companies on the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 14 rose while Ibersol and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €10.8 and €6.43.

EDP Renováveis and EDP led the gains, rising 3.90% to €13.60 and 3.45% to €4.50. Sonae advanced 3.12% to €1.92.

Galp rose 2.93% to €21.07 and Altri grew 2.32% to €4.85, with both closing with gains above 2%.

Several companies rose more than 1%: REN rose 1.76% to €3.75, NOS increased 1.68% to €5.45, and Navigator gained 1.64% to €3.35. Semapa climbed 1.62% to €21.9 and CTT rose 1.54% to €5.92.

Mota-Engil (0.65% to €4.34), Jerónimo Martins (0.59% to €20.32), BCP (0.47% to €0.81) and Teixeira Duarte (0.25% to €0.41) saw smaller gains. Main European markets closed higher on Monday. London advanced 1.61%, Paris 0.92%, Frankfurt 1.18%, Madrid 0.99% and Milan 1.02%.
