Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Lisbon stock market closes down 2.1%, only Jeronimo Martins in green

Lisbon, March 20, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed on Friday, with the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index) losing 2.13% to 8,756.26 points and only Jeronimo Martins on the rising side, in line with the rest of Europe.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI, 13 fell, Altri and Ibersol remained unchanged at €4.54 and €10.60, respectively, and Jerónimo Martins rose 1.10% to €20.18. Sonae SGPS led the declines, falling 5.22% to €1.74.

Other notable drops included Galp, which shed 3.79% to €21.32, CTT, which lost 3.54% to €5.73, and Mota-Engil, which fell 3.25% to €4.05. NOS decreased 2.60% to €5.25, REN dropped 2.58% to €3.77, Teixeira Duarte fell 1.94% to €0.41, and Navigator declined 1.80% to €3.16.

Major falls also included BCP, which lost 1.79% to €0.78, EDP Renováveis, which fell 1.52% to €12.95, EDP, which dropped 1.50% to €4.27, and Semapa, which contracted 1.20% to €20.65.

Corticeira Amorim was the only company with a drop of less than 1%, at €6.17.

Elsewhere in Europe, Frankfurt fell 2.01%, Paris dropped 1.82%, London lost 1.44%, and Madrid declined 1.14%.
