Lisbon, Feb. 10, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market was trading lower on Tuesday morning, with Mota-Engil shares falling 1.27% and Teixeira Duarte shares rising 1.12% to €0.54.
At around 9:20 a.m. in Lisbon, the PSI maintained its opening trend and had fallen 0.22% to 8,971.23 points, with 11 stocks down, four up and one unchanged (Navigator at €3.33).
The PSI ended Monday's session at 8,991.17 points, a new high since June 2008.
Mota-Engil shares were followed by CTT, BCP and Mota-Engil, which also fell, 0.94% to €7.35, 0.77% to €0.93 and 0.74% to €4.30, respectively. Following the same trend, EDP Renováveis, REN and Semapa shares fell 0.60% to €13.20, 0.56% to €3.52 and 0.44% to €22.60.
Altri and Galp shares fell 0.43% to €4.63 and 0.40% to €17.51, and the other two shares in negative territory were NOS (-0.11% to €4.66) and Jerónimo Martins (-0.10% to €20.44).
On the other hand, after Teixeira Duarte shares, the biggest gains were Ibersol (+0.45% to €11.10), Sonae (+0.32% to €1.88), and Corticeira Amorim (+0.29% to €6.88).
The main European stock markets opened mixed today, after Monday's gains, in a session during which it was announced that France ended 2025 with higher unemployment.
In Europe, this week's data calendar is sparse after the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to keep key interest rates unchanged, as expected, and its president, Christine Lagarde, reiterated that monetary policy is in a good position, with risks broadly balanced, so no change in rates is expected soon.
Wall Street futures point to a 0.02% gain for the Dow Jones and a 0.07% loss for the Nasdaq.
In the US, attention will be focused on the publication of retail sales and the expectation of learning on Wednesday the change in non-farm jobs in January, which are estimated to increase by 70,000 jobs, and the evolution of the unemployment rate, which is expected to stand at 4.4% of the working population, in a context marked by a slowdown in the pace of hiring in recent months.
Meanwhile, gold and silver are down.
The euro fell to $1.1907 on the Frankfurt foreign exchange market, compared to $1.1909 on Monday and $1.1980 on 27 January, a new high since June 2021.
