TIRANA, January 31 /ATA/ President of the Republic Bajram Begaj handed over today the national flag to the flag-bearers of Olympic “Team Albania” that will represent our country at the 2026 Winter Olympics, in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo on February 6-22, 2026. 

“The red and black flag that you are receiving today carries within itself the expectations of an entire country. The red and black flag does not necessarily ask you for medals, it asks you for dignity”, said the President of the Republic, while handing over the national flag to our team. 

“Lara Colturi’s extraordinary talent and our other athletes, Denni Xhepa, Lisa Brunga and Semire Dauti means that Albanian sport has emerged from the phase of symbolic participation,” said Begaj, who thanked all contributors who made the achievement possible so far and make all Albanians proud. /r.e/a.f/p.s./
