Juventus made sure they will have a place in the playoffs for access to the last 16 of the Champions League by beating Jose Mourinho's Benfica 2-0 in Turin on Tuesday in the penultimate standings-stage match thanks to goals by Khéphren Thuram and Weston McKennie.

    But Atalanta's hopes of finishing in the top eight to qualify directly for the last 16 were hit by them losing 3-2 to Athletic Bilbao in Bergamo.

    Juventus are 15th with 12 points from seven games, meaning they are certain of finishing in the top 24 ahead of their final match at Monaco.
    Atalanta, who travel to Union SG next week, have dropped to 13th with 13 points.
    Inter are 14th with 12 points following their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at San Siro on Tuesday.
    Serie A champions Napoli risk not even making the playoffs.
    They are 25th with eight points after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Copenhagen and face eighth-placed Chelsea at home in their final game.
