Italy's Jannik Sinner flew into the third round of the men's singles of the Australian Open on Thursday, thrashing Australian wild-card entry James Duckworth 6-1 6-4 6-2 in just one hour and 49 minutes.
The world number two, who is seeking to win the tournament for the third consecutive time, will face 85th-ranked American Eliot Spizzirri in his next match.
The 24-year-old said he was "very happy with my performance.
"Every match is very difficult, so I'm very happy to be in the next round," he said.
"I feel I am in good shape at the moment.
"The body feels good and the mind is in a good moment".
World number five Lorenzo Musetti is also in the third round thanks to a 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 win over fellow Italian Lorenzo Sonego.
