TIRANA, Jan 14 /ATA/ The Port of Durrës maintained its position as the primary maritime passenger transport hub in Albania throughout 2025.

From January to December of the past year, a total of 792,023 passengers were processed.

Of this total, 389,543 passengers arrived at the port, while 402,480 departed for various destinations.

According to the Port Authority of Durrës, passenger traffic saw a significant increase during the summer tourist season, especially on international routes to Italy.

Port authorities highlight that these figures underscore the vital role of the Port of Durrës in facilitating passenger movement, sustaining tourism growth, and reinforcing regional maritime ties.
