Lisbon, Jan. 6, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed on a positive note on Tuesday, with the PSI rising 0.53% to 8,514.37 points, on a day when Mota-Engil led the gains, rising more than 2%.

Of the 16 companies listed on the national benchmark index, 11 closed in positive territory and the remaining five in the red, in a session that reached highs not seen since the beginning of 2010.

Lisbon followed the positive sentiment experienced in other European markets, on a day when the British FTSE 100 rose 1.18%, the French CAC-40 rose 0.32%, the Spanish IBEX-35 gained 0.19% and the German DAX rose 0.09%.
