TIRANA, Dec 31 /ATA/ This year, the TEA (Tourism Events of Albania) app has delivered a richer and more inclusive experience for all those discovering Albania’s natural and cultural treasures.
Thanks to TEA, tourists have enjoyed not only nature, mountains, the sea, and cuisine, but also cultural and artistic events.
The Director of the National Tourism Agency, Zana Çela, told ATA that “TEA, the digital event guide, has been downloaded 170,000 times, compared to 90,000 downloads in 2024.”
“This app has grown compared to 2024. While TEA included 2,144 events in 2024, the number rose to 3,331 in 2025, with the leading categories being Agritourism, Art Fest, Music Festivals, Visual Arts, Cultural Heritage, and Theater,” Çela stated.
The National Tourism Agency (AKT) promotes Albania globally as an authentic, safe, and welcoming destination, offering a diverse range of experiences.
“The Agency implements a holistic promotion approach; besides presenting Albania at major international fairs, digital promotion has been essential to its success. Traditional marketing and digital initiatives complement each other, using new technologies and creating digital platforms such as the TEA Digital Tourism App,” Çela noted.
According to her, the TEA app is an innovative solution developed by AKT, placing digital technology at the heart of tourism promotion.
“TEA serves as a personal assistant for travelers, providing cultural, artistic, and sports activities, as well as practical services,” Çela said.
The app has been downloaded in several countries, including Albania, Italy, the USA, the UK, France, Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands, Kosovo, and others.
The TEA app, Albania’s only digital tourism guide, is an excellent example of how technology can be used to enhance and modernize the tourist experience, providing travelers with fast, accurate, and tailored information.
With TEA, tourists can navigate through various tourist destinations in Albania. They can explore historical monuments, cultural and artistic activities, as well as access practical information on services they may need, such as hotels, bars and restaurants, contacts, and more.
