TIRANA, December 25 /ATA/ Tirana International Airport (TIA) had another positive period in November confirming its role as Albania’s main air gateway and an important connecting hub in the region.

During this month, the airport handled a total of 765,890 passengers, while there were 4,490 flights to 67 destinations in 21 countries. According to TIA data, the most frequented destinations during this period remained Milan, London, Rome, Bologna and Pisa, reflecting the strong connections with the main European markets.

This air transport performance is closely linked with the positive performance of tourism sector.

During the first 11 months of the current year, the arrivals of foreign citizens in Albania have reached around 12 million. The data show a progressive and stable increase since 2021, a trend that is expected to continue in the following periods. /p.s./
