Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes lower in a mainly positive Europe

Lisbon, Dec. 23, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark PSI index falling 0.27% to 8,169.20 points, in a mostly positive Europe.

Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI (Portuguese Share Index), 10 fell, four rose, and Galp and Ibersol remained unchanged at €14.40 and €9.90, respectively.

Leading the declines was civil engineering and construction group, Teixeira Duarte, which fell 3.32% to €0.64.

Also noteworthy was fellow civil engineering and construction group Mota-Engil, which fell 2.71% to €5.02.

With falls of less than 1% were CTT (€7.34), Jerónimo Martins (€20.08), Sonae SGPS (€1.60), Altri (€4.36), Navigator (€3.06), BCP (€0.89), NOS (€3.98) and EDP Renováveis (€11.78).

In the opposite direction, REN led the gains, rising 0.63% to €3.19.

Semapa (€20.80), Corticeira Amorim (€6.64) and EDP (€3.87) also posted gains of less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in London rose 0.24%, Frankfurt 0.23% and Madrid 0.14%, while Paris fell 0.21%.
