Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark index off 0.25% in line with Europe

Lisbon, Dec. 22, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Monday, with the PSI index falling 0.25% to 8,191.21 points, following the negative trend in the rest of Europe.

Of the 16 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), 10 fell, five rose and Ibersol remained unchanged at €9.90.

Leading the declines was REN, which fell 1.09% to €3.17.

With declines of less than 1% were Sonae SGPS (€1.61), EDP Renováveis (€11.79), Teixeira Duarte (€0.66), Navigator (€3.07), Altri (€4.39), CTT (€7.40), BCP (€0.89), Jerónimo Martins (€20.24), and EDP (€3.86).

Going in the opposite direction, Galp led the gains, rising 1.37% to €14.40.

Semapa (€20.70), Mota-Engil (€5.16), Corticeira Amorim (€6.61) and NOS (€3.99) posted gains of less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in Paris fell 0.37%, London 0.32%, Madrid 0.07% and Frankfurt 0.02%.
