NNA - The area surrounding the National Museum in Beirut witnessed a massive national celebration last night to mark the 82nd anniversary of Lebanon's independence. The venue transformed into a space for collective celebration, carrying significant symbolism at this critical time.

Attending the event, Information Minister Paul Morcos delivered a brief word, saying: "As we commemorate Independence Day and honor the men who proudly forged it, we see in you once again the heroes of reviving independence in this new presidential mandate and with this government, which strives for collective progress."

Morcos emphasized that "independence is not merely the act of secession from a foreign state, but rather the advancement of the nation which has begun to materialize with the support of the media."

This year's event was exceptional, as the walls of the National Museum were illuminated with a massive light show featuring a video that evoked Lebanese unity and reinforced the slogan "Army – People – State." The video revisited key moments and figures who have served Lebanon throughout its modern history on political, economic, literary, and artistic levels, in a gesture of appreciation for a shared national heritage.
