NNA - The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon held a celebration at its Beirut headquarters to mark Ralph Khoury's completion of his bicycle journey from Paris to Beirut, a journey aimed at supporting the Center's message of hope.
The celebration was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Nour Bayrakdarian, Pierre Anhoury representing the Minister of Public Health, French Ambassador Hervé Magro, members of the Center's Board of Trustees, and representatives from the "Coral" company, along with the medical and administrative team.
In a brief word during the ceremony, Ambassador Magro emphasized the strength of French-Lebanese cooperation, affirming France's continued support for children with cancer. He praised the exceptional efforts of the Children's Cancer Center and its provision of treatment to a large percentage of children with cancer in Lebanon.
Magro believed that "Ralph Khoury's bicycle journey from Paris to Beirut highlights the importance of supporting children with cancer and motivates the community to contribute to this humanitarian cause," considering that "Khoury added a heroic character to this project by crossing a distance of five thousand kilometers in exceptional circumstances, thus confirming the strength of will and the spirit of solidarity."
For her part, the Youth and Sports Minister praised the "humanitarian initiative carried out by the young Lebanese athlete Ralph Khoury," considering that his journey from Paris to Beirut "presented an inspiring model of the role of sports in spreading hope and overcoming challenges."
Bayrakdarian affirmed that "Khoury transformed his sporting achievement into a message of solidarity with children suffering from cancer, raising Lebanon's name high through an initiative that embodies humanity and social commitment."
She concluded by affirming that Khoury's journey "will remain a source of inspiration for Lebanese youth and proof of the ability of individual initiatives to make a real impact and light the way for others."
