The first snow of the winter hit many parts of Italy Friday.
    Milan saw its first flakes of white stuff while there was abundant snowfall in the northern mountains, around Bergamo, and in Liguria as well as the Tuscan hills.
    A yellow alert was in place in Tuscany for snow and high winds.
    Central and southern Italy will have to wait a bit longer for their first tasste of snow, forecasters said.
