ALGIERS, 11 November 2025 (APS) - Director General of National Police Ali Badaoui received a delegation of experts from the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) on Tuesday to discuss ways to strengthen the operational and technical capabilities of security services in various areas, the Directorate General of National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.
The meeting, held as part of efforts to "strengthen international cooperation in the field of policing," explored ways to "enhance and support the operational and technical capabilities of national security services in detecting radioactive materials at crime scenes and at various border crossings (land, sea and air)," the statement said.
Speaking at the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Directorate General of National Security, Badaoui praised the "spirit of cooperation with Interpol," stressing the Directorate's commitment to "continue modernizing the police system" and "promoting high-level training in various scientific and technical fields."
