Lusa - Business News - Angola: TAAG receives third Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Luanda, Nov. 11, 2025 (Lusa) - TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola received its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on Tuesday, the first 787-10 to join its fleet, the Angolan company said.

In a press release, TAAG said that the new aircraft was received at António Agostinho Neto International Airport, stressing that its incorporation, under a leasing regime, reflects "the ambitious process of modernising and renewing the fleet, a critical success factor in TAAG's transformation journey".

The aircraft, which has capacity for 367 passengers, including 24 in business class and 343 in economy class, joins the two Boeing 787-9 models taken on by the Angolan airline this year.

According to the note, "the Boeing 787-10 represents a more modern and advanced version of the “Dreamliner” family, and in addition to greater passenger and cargo transport capacity, it also has optimised fuel efficiency levels, underlining TAAG's commitment to environmental sustainability, "through a significant reduction in harmful gas emissions into the atmosphere".

With the addition of this new aircraft, TAAG aims to strengthen connectivity to long-haul destinations, and support the prospecting of new routes, as set out in the company's 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.
