APS - SIPA 2025 in Oran: 20,000 visitors, multiple agreements signed

ORAN, 09 November 2025 (APS) - The 10th International Exhibition of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SIPA 2025) wrapped up on Sunday evening in Oran, attracting 20,000 visitors and featuring the signing of several partnership agreements.

This economic event, spanning four days, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, saw a record participation of 180 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors, highlighting the investment and innovation aspects of the sector.

During the closing ceremony, three agreements were signed between the National Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture and, respectively, the Public Economic Fisheries and Aquaculture Company, the National Agricultural Mutual Fund (CNMA), and the startup "Fish Dz," adding to five other agreements concluded during the Exhibition.

he Director General of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the Ministry, Miloud Tariaa, emphasized in his speech that this edition "was not merely a space to showcase national products and capabilities, but above all a platform for partnerships and investment agreements, culminating in positive results."

The 2025 edition was marked by the honored participation of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Saoud Ben Hamoud Ben Ahmed Al-Habsi, alongside officials from his ministry and over seven Omani companies operating in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sectors.

The exhibition’s program featured 10 scientific and technical workshops covering digital transformation, the enhancement of fishery products, shipbuilding, vessel monitoring systems (VMS), and support for entrepreneurship.
