ALGIERS, 09 November 2025 (APS) - The People’s National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) will partake, starting Monday in Rome, Italy, in the proceedings of the preparatory meeting for the 3rd Global Parliamentary Summit against Hunger and Malnutrition, according to a communiqué issued by the lower house of Parliament on Sunday.

This two-day pre-summit meeting, organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will focus on "key global trends in food security and nutrition, as well as assessing progress made and identifying the challenges and priorities that will be addressed at the Summit to enhance its effectiveness, while emphasizing legislative priorities to promote collaborative solutions," the source stated.

The People’s National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) will be represented at the meeting by both members of Parliament Djeddou Rabah and Seklouli Walid, the communiqué concluded.
