Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes 2.27% lower with EDP companies losing the most

Lisbon, Nov. 7, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed Friday's session down 2.27% to 8,186.96 points, with EDP Renováveis and EDP losing 5.86% and 5.19% respectively, in line with the European trend.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI index, only three rose, with the remaining 13 falling in the last session of the week.

EDP Renováveis and EDP led the losses, closing the session at €11.72 and €3.89 respectively.

On Thursday, EDP Renováveis announced profits of €107 million between January and September, 49% less than in the same months of 2024. EDP, for its part, recorded a profit of €952 million in the first nine months of the year, down 12% on the same period last year.

CTT (down 2.24% to €7.42), BCP (down 2.18% to €0.77) and Jerónimo Martins (down 2.17% to €21.66) all fell more than 2%.

Corticeira Amorim fell 1.95% to €6.52 and the other listed companies with losses fell less than 1%.

Semapa fell 0.79% to €17.66, Altri 0.71% to €4.88, Navigator 0.65% to €3.03, Mota-Engil 0.61% to €5.74, REN 0.30% to €3.35, Teixeira Duarte 0.29% to €0.68 and Galp 0.28% to €17.54.

In positive territory were only Ibersol, which rose 0.50% to €10.15, Sonae, up 0.42% to €1.42, and NOS, which appreciated 0.27% to €3.68.

The main European markets closed down across the board today, with London down 0.55%, Paris 0.18%, Frankfurt 0.69%, Madrid 1.34% and Milan 0.35%.
