NNA - Embassy of Pakistan in Beirut hosts Webinar to mark ‘Kashmir Black Day’ to show solidarity with the people of Iiojk

NNA - To observe ‘Kashmir Black Day’ and demonstrate unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Embassy of Pakistan in Beirut organized a webinar on 27th October 2025.

Prominent personalities from academia, think tanks, and media, participated in the webinar. The speakers highlighted the sufferings of the Kashmiri people, the atrocities committed by the occupying Indian forces in IIOJK, and the severe violations of human rights by India in the region. They also pointed out that the recent military standoff between Pakistan and India, earlier this year, has made an early resolution of the Kashmir dispute even more urgent.

Moreover, the role of Kashmiri youth in resisting the brutal occupation of India, as well as violations of women's rights by occupying Indian forces, was particularly highlighted by the speakers. Furthermore, they reiterated the important role of the UN and the international community in ensuring the right of self-determination to the Kashmiri people.

Ambassador Salman Athar, in his remarks, reaffirmed the critical role of the international community in reining in India from unleashing state-sponsored violence in IIOJK and granting the Kashmiri people the right of self-determination.

The webinar concluded with a collective reaffirmation of support for the people of IIOJK, and a call for an end to India’s repressive policies and human rights violations, which over the past years have reached unprecedented levels.
