NNA - Media Committee announces accreditation procedures for journalists covering the apostolic journey of Pope Leo xiv to Lebanon

NNA - The Media Committee organizing the Apostolic Journey of His Holiness Pope Leo XIVto Lebanon, scheduled from November 30 to December 2, issued a statement announcing the launch of a dedicated online platform for the accreditation of journalists wishing to cover the visit.

Described as a “Journey of peace and hope,” the papal visit will be accompanied by extensive media coverage under the supervision of the Media Committee. To facilitate this, the Committee has created a single official registration platform exclusively for Lebanese, Arab, and foreign journalists.

No other platform will be accepted.

Registration will remain open from Tuesday, October 28, until November 20, 2025, inclusive. The Committee stressed that no accreditation requests will be accepted after this deadline, and that access to any of the papal sites will be strictly limited to journalists bearing official accreditation badges.

The Media Center for the Apostolic Journey will be located in the Grand Ballroom of the Phoenicia Hotel, serving as the primary hub for accredited media representatives. Transportation to all papal event sites will be provided exclusively by special buses arranged by the Media Committee, in coordination with the relevant security authorities.

The Committee noted that further statements will be issued to outline detailed procedures in collaboration with the Higher Committee and the Ecclesiastical Committee established for the organization of the visit.

All print, broadcast, and digital media outlets are urged to strictly adhere to the announced procedure to obtain their accreditation badges, which will be distributed 48 hours prior to the arrival of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport.
